Cloverlines Bosses: Quests, Drops and Encounter Rules

Choose a boss by the reward you need:

• Salen equipment, Iron Scythe or Chain Hand: fight Chain Bandit. Its drop pool also includes Chain Fragments.
• Earth Mage outfits: fight Earth Bandit Boss for Earth Mage Outfit or Earth Mage Boss Outfit.
• Mana Wolf Fang or Crystal Mana Frags: target Mana Wolf. It also has Wolf Fang and chest drops.
• Selian Outfit or Big Chest: target Selian Valcrest in the Royal Capital plaza.
• Ceryn Fragments and Crimson Heart: follow the Halloween Update Part I chain from Ceryn to Witch Regent.

For Normal Chests, Chain Bandit, Earth Bandit Boss and Mana Wolf each list a 9.5% drop chance. Chain Bandit is a reasonable starting choice because its 2,250 HP is lower than Earth Bandit Boss's 3,750 HP, and both offer the same listed chest chance. That comparison favors a smaller health pool, rather than guaranteeing faster clears with every build.

For Medium Chests, Selian's listed 15% chance is higher than Mana Wolf's 3.43%. Choose Selian if you can handle its 20,000 HP; it also offers a 2% Big Chest chance. See chest sources for comparisons by chest type.

Warden Cole offers the level 20 Chain Bandit quest. The objective is to defeat one Chain Bandit, with listed rewards of 900 EXP and 500 Yens. The boss has 2,250 HP.

1. Accept the quest from Warden Cole and follow the quest arrow to Chain Bandit.
2. Attack the boss and respond to the Dodge: E prompt during combat.
3. If you have Null equipped and Dual Spin unlocked, use Dual Spin as an attacking option. It can work in this fight; Null is not an entry requirement.
4. After completing the objective, accept the quest again. Return to the spawn and check the remaining countdown before your next attempt.

Earth Bandit Boss

Accept The Earth Bandit Boss quest and follow its target marker. The boss has 3,750 HP and can knock you back. Be ready to reposition after a hit so you can face the boss and resume attacking.

Mana Wolf

Accept The Mana Wolf quest, then find Mana Wolf in the quest area. Defeat one Mana Wolf for the listed base reward of 1,238 EXP and 875 Yens.

Target the named boss: ordinary wolves do not replace the quest objective. Wolf Fang or Leather pickups from nearby enemies do not mean you have completed the boss quest—use the objective counter to check your progress.

Little Zena

Little Zena is the Rayen gang leader and has 4,500 HP.

1. Track the quest to defeat Little Zena.
2. Turn Quest Tracker on and follow its arrows. Nearest Spawn is a separate toggle.
3. Defeat Little Zena once to complete the objective, which lists 1,304 EXP and 1,250 Yens.

Defeat Gein and Barolin is a consecutive encounter. Its reward panel lists 10,066 EXP and 10,981 Yens for the combined quest, rather than for each boss.

1. Track the quest and follow its arrows to the encounter area.
2. Defeat Gein, who has 14,000 HP.
3. When the objective reaches 1/2, pursue Barolin, who appears after Gein falls.
4. Defeat Barolin to finish the two-target objective. Barolin can appear in Mud Form.

If you are looking for Barolin while the objective is still 0/2, finish Gein first.

Waiting for a boss versus Respawn Boss

A spawn countdown tells you how long remains before the next encounter. For Chain Bandit, a return after one defeat had approximately two minutes remaining; that is not the full respawn interval.

The separate Respawn Boss purchase offer at Chain Bandit was 24 Robux, with 29 Robux displayed as the original price. That offer belongs to Chain Bandit's entry, rather than a universal boss price. You can wait for the countdown without selecting the purchase option. Selian Valcrest also has a countdown after defeat.

Selian Valcrest

Find Selian Valcrest in the Royal Capital plaza. With Devil Union active, Black Hurricane (E) provides a ranged attacking option. An awakened Battle Lightning setup can use Thunderclap Barrage against Selian; that awakening requires the Elf race. Ceryn and Witch Regent

Accept Defeat Ceryn, the Cinderweaver and defeat the 26,000-HP boss. The quest panel lists 11,073 EXP and 2,800 Yens. After completion, select Repeat Quest to accept it again, or No to decline.

During Halloween Update Part I (v0.16.18), Ceryn drops Ceryn Fragments. Offer three fragments at the altar beside the giant tree to summon Witch Regent, who can drop the rare Crimson Heart used to awaken Crimson Grimoire's passive ability.
