Defeat Witch Regent for a chance at the rare Crimson Heart, which awakens Crimson's passive. Choose Repeat Quest after defeating Ceryn to take the quest again.

The Halloween Part I Summoning Chain
- Defeat Ceryn, the Cinderweaver to obtain Ceryn Fragments.
- Offer 3 fragments at the altar beside the giant tree to summon Witch Regent.
- Defeat Witch Regent for a chance to obtain Crimson Heart, the item used to awaken the Crimson Grimoire's passive.

Fight Ceryn and Repeat the Quest
Accept Defeat Ceryn, the Cinderweaver, then approach and defeat Ceryn, who has 26,000 HP. After the fight, choose Repeat Quest in the completion window to accept the quest again, or No to decline.
The quest panel lists 11,073 EXP and 2,800 Yens. A single completion awarded 18,824 XP, 3,990 Yens and one Normal Chest; that payout is separate from the panel values.
If you use awakened Battle Lightning, face Ceryn and press C for Thunder God's Judgment, which launches a lightning orb followed by lightning strikes. To awaken Battle Lightning, be an Elf, equip the grimoire and press G with a full awakening gauge. See the Battle Lightning guide for its full moveset.
Offer Three Fragments at the Altar
Ceryn drops Ceryn Fragments during Halloween Part I. Collect 3 fragments for each summon, then offer them at the altar beside the giant tree to call Witch Regent.
Crimson Heart and the Crimson Passive
Witch Regent can drop Crimson Heart as a rare reward. The heart is used to awaken the passive ability of the Crimson Grimoire.
